We visited Alberta and British Columbia in 2021 during the wildfires and could not believe the extent of the damage that he been done.

In the third picture below that is not only clouds, but also wildfire smoke.

Planting trees was just the exhilarating start of our journey to diminish our environmental footprint at JW Digital Archiving! In 2024, we took a bold step forward by replacing our water heater with a cutting-edge, efficient Rheem ProTerra Hybrid Electric model. This remarkable innovation pulls heat energy from the surrounding air, transforming it into hot water, and it proudly stands as the most efficient water heater on the market with an impressive UEF of up to 4.07. We have slashed our electricity usage by an astonishing 75% compared to our old electric water heater!

In November of 2024, we made an exhilarating leap from our high-end editing desktop, which consumed a staggering 200 watts just to capture videotapes and a whopping 600 to 700 watts when exporting them, to the incredible Apple Mac mini M4! This remarkable machine operates on a mere 20 watts when capturing and just 60 watts while exporting videos! Can you believe it? This is a phenomenal tenfold reduction in power consumption!

Even though this new Mac mini utilizes ten times less power compared to our previous setup, rest assured that the same process for digitizing your tapes remains unchanged.

  I had an old VHS tape with priceless family memories, and Justin did an amazing job converting it to a flash drive. The quality was great, and the process was fast and professional. They handled everything with care and made sure the final result was easy to access and share. I’m so thankful to have those memories preserved digitally now.   Justin recently converted 300 feet of 16mm colored film for me.  He did an incredible job of conversion and clean up of the film's images.  The digital video I got from him was far beyond anything I expected.  The color and clarity were spectacular.  And to think the conversion was done right here in Regina, by Justin, the professional.  The film was 70 years old and Justin did miracles with it.  He treated the film like it was a treasure, which it was.  In the world of digital archiving, Justin is a treasure, second to none.   We had reels of 8mm film put onto USB dated back to early 1960’s. We were sooooo pleased with how it turned out. Our family had a reunion and rather than loading up our ancient projector we were able to watch them on TV. Thank you Justin!! Fantastic job Highly recommend JW Digital Archiving!!

  We contacted Justin to improve the picture we wanted to put on a headstone, as it has to meet certain quality standards to be reproduce. They had it finished for me within hour!!! Now I’m going to use them to digitize my old family VHF tapes Thanks Justin

  Amazing local resource (but would be a great choice for people out of town too). I've worked with and looked for many digital archivers across ON, MB, and SK) for work and personal reasons and JW goes above and beyond. The quality is great, the labeling and customer service is fantastic and the prices are good. Definitely worth going to for any scanning or digitizing needs.
